It was once very truly said by Seneca that “Many might have attained to wisdom, if they had not thought they already had it!” But as Aristotle testifies, “Young men think, and often confidently claim, that they know everything!” There is nothing more suited to render a man unfitting for the study of theology than such an attitude of mind.
