What Qualifications Do You Have?

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
(Mat 28:18-20 ESV)

Many people think that because they do not have a seminary degree or education, they are not qualified to preach the gospel or that they are at the very least not worthy of such a task. But Jesus commands us, not only encourages us, in the great commission to be teachers, evangelists, and ministers of the gospel:

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mat 28:18-20 ESV)

If you think you’re not worthy, you’re not. It’s not based on merits, degrees, or the institutionalized letters at the end of your name that qualify you. It’s whether or not you know Jesus Christ. If we do, then we are bought with a price and we are not our own. We must obey. It is not deservedness, it is duty. Just bring them to the cross.
